Drag girls

Hi All,

You folks sure do a wonderfull job of giving to so many, so they have an
outlet to enjoy their passions, fashions, and softer side, as T girls.
Great job!

I read all your pointers. Don't go as a big group. Don't overdress.
Don't do, wear, or say anything to bring attention to oneself.

Well, some of us just love being "over the top". My favorite Drag Queen
is Dolly Parton. Even she said on TV the other night. "I'm sure glad I
was born a girl otherwise I would be a Drag Queen."

So where do we, the Drag girls, go to express our passions?

I do, on occasion, visit Las Vegas and would love to get some recommendations of fun places to go in Drag or see those wonderful Drag creations.

Hugs, Ronni

Maybe, a volunteer, perhaps yourself, can research the possibility of
a Drag Nite, or several Drag Nites, as alternate dual track events,
where the "Drag Girls" can "let their hair" down. The "mainstream
T-girls" can participate also, if they desire. I think that I would be
fun.

As a drag girl myself, I was conforming to the other gals wishes, not
only for the reason that have already been expressed, but also because
i do like the fashions, passions. and expressing my "softer side" as
you so eloquently put it. But you know, once in awhile I get the urge
to just get wild and get out the "Big Pink Hair" out, the wild clothes,
the outlandish glitter makeup, and have fun Gay Pride style.

And, I don't mean going Skag Drag either, because that is where I do
draw my line.

Since you sound very knowledgeable and want to see DLV have some DRAG
QUEEN activities, how about YOU volunteering to PLAN some DRAG QUEEN and
SMOKER priority activities, for DLV next year?

We need someone like you to plan activities for those who are similar or
alike to you, that don't attend DLV for the same reasons and for the
lack of such activities.

Please "step up to the plate" and be a organizer.

I would like to see what you come up with as in planning a activity or
activities.

- Yvonne

Anyplace a Drag Queen is performing is a good bet. In Vegas look for
Coco Vega, and Kitty Litter. Imperial Court events always have a queen
in attendence. There may be a chapter in your town as there is here in
Vegas. You'll find this information in the free gay papers like Night
Beat, and Q-Vegas.

I've noticed that being in a gay bar makes some crossdressers
uncomfortable. But that's where most high camp drag happens. I
have had so much fun in those places.

Let's add another perspective. I would support some DRAG activites but forget
the smoke. Alexii

As I think back over the history of DLV, drag shows have been on the
schedule many times, such as:

Las Vegas Lounge in 2000. Yes, it was clean back then, and they did have
an entertaining amateur show one night. Very energetic performer, flips
and handsprings on the stage.

Flex in 2002. Some of our people performed on stage with the regular
lineup.

Sasha's in 2002 (2003?). Again, some of our people joined the house cast
on stage.

Pity Party, over the years.

I'm sure there were other times as well.

These shows do come and go frequently, so it might not be practical to
plan these a year in advance, but all it takes is for somebody to do the
legwork as to where these are going on, and then put them on the DLV
schedule.

Speaking of Legwork, there is going to be a theatre showing of RHPS in
Las Vegas again soon. I saw a promo for it, and the poster was backed
by divine decadence.

Yes, at Sasha's in '03 - that is where some of us went up on stage,
IIRC.
